A Feng Shui Home in Long Island New York

As a Feng Shui Consultant in Long Island and New York City, I am often asked to evaluate a new home from a Feng Shui Perspective. It can be a home my clients are looking to purchase or a home they have just moved in to.

I often find that many Builders still do not have an awareness of Feng Shui Principles. It was to my delight to come across a home that, for the most part, had been built (perhaps instinctively) with Feng Shui Principles in mind.

Although my clients had toured all the new constructions in this lovely area of Long Island, they told me they were drawn back to THIS particular home because it just "Felt Good." And it did!

From the hallways upstairs which were in a semi-circle instead of a straight line to the nourishing Kitchen Area and the placements of the appliances, it was difficult to find fault with this home. Even small things, such as the bannister curling inward at the end to allow the Energy to flow BACK into the home and although there were 6 bathrooms, none were placed in Wealth or Relationship areas.

Because our Front Door allows the Energy IN, it is particulary Auspicious to find double doors. The staircase was off to the right instead of directly opposite the front door--which, in Feng Shui, can "sweep" the occupants energy right up the stairs.

The ONLY issue I saw in this home were that the Front doors were in alignment with the Back doors. My clients had already placed a table and chairs in the dining area between the doors and were going to install a large crystal chandelier. Many Feng Shui Consultants use Crystals to diffuse the Energy in a space. I suggested also grounding the Energy by placing a plant by the back door.

Here are some photos of that lovely, "feel good" home on Long Island, New York. My hope is that more Builders will work within the principles of Feng Shui and those homes will sell FAST.
